"Once upon a leaf" Wrap pattern is now available.

"Once upon a leaf" {Wrap} pattern is now available on Ravelry and my blog.
This is a wrap/stole version of my previously published pattern for a triangular shawl called “Once upon a leaf”.

“Once upon a leaf” is an airy lace stole/wrap with beautiful winding leaves stitch pattern. Leaves evoke feelings of spring and summer, but this stole would make a great accessory for any time of the year. The stole is seamless and knitted from the provisional cast on to the edge in both directions. The edges are finished by picot bind off. Pattern also has instructions for a beaded picot BO.

New shawl design: "Palessie".

Thank you so much to everyone for your lovely comments for my "Once upon the leaf" wrap post. I greatly appreciate them :-))

Ever since I bought Pigenroof Studious Silken sock skein in Tarnished back in September of last year, I have been thinking of the shawl design to showcase this wonderful colorway and yarn. It all fell into place last week and I cannot be more happier with the finished shawl :))))))) While taking pictures today by the ocean and just walking around near the water in the evening, I was thinking to myself ” who needs a cardigan in the summer when you can wear a shawl” :))) This particular shawl wraps so lovely around the shoulders and arms. Also, the drape of the edges is just wonderful. I am so in love with this particular shawl shape.

I am also completely in love with this yarn. It blocks wonderfully, drapes beautifully and the color is just spectacular. Thank you so much Krista :-))
I have called this design Palessie. Polessie is a marshy region lining the Pripyat River in Southern Belarus, Northern Ukraine, and partly in Poland and Russia.  The yarn colorway reminded me of moss and marshes and Belarus and that is how the name Palessie came to mind.
My project on Ravelry can be found here.

“Once upon a leaf” {Wrap}.

Thank you to everyone who left warm and kind comments about my Lotta's Lilacs shawl. I greatly appreciate them :-)))

This is stole version of my shawl “Once upon a leaf”.
I have been meaning to knit a stole/wrap version of the shawl for a year now and I finally made one. Love it :)) That leaf pattern just asked to be in a stole ;-))

I love the size of the stole. I wanted it to be wide and not too long. I also love the yarn combo I used: one strand of ColourMart 100% Extra Fine Merino 4/28NM 4ply and one strand of Alina Shea Creations Merino Dreams  . The resulting fabric is silky, has a nice weight to it and drapes well. I also love the resulting color..very delicate and subtle.
The pattern will be available within a week or so ;-)
You can find my project on Ravelry.
