New Pattern: Rainbow Loom.

Rainbow Loom pattern is now LIVE.
Introductory 25% off until May 19 (11pm, PST).
http://www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/rainbow-loom
Rainbow Loom is a fun to knit, slipped stitch cowl with a touch of lace and a pop of color. The different stitch patterns seamlessly transition into one another to create a beautiful combination of texture and lace. Using the same basic pattern you can make this cowl your own by choosing how many colors to use, when to use them and by changing the lace/slipped stitch layout. While designed with a gradient yarn in mind, this pattern can be knitted in a single color or as many colors as you like. It is great for leftover yarn too. One pattern gives you endless possibilities to explore and knit.

Diana

Sunshine Daisy Collection.

I am trilled to finally be able to reveal to you my new collection of knitted accessories made in collaboration with Baah Yarn. The collection is called "Sunshine Daisy" and features two shawls and a cowl.
I started working on this collection in January 2015 when I got an opportunity to create 3 designs for Baah Yarn. The yarns I used in the designs are Platinum (Fingering / 4 ply 75% Merino, 10% Cashmere, 10% Silk, 5% Metallic) and Aspen (Sport / 5 ply 75% Merino, 15% Silk, 10% Cashmere).  The yarns and the colors inspired the designs you see today. My goal and desire for this collection was to create beautiful knits that play with lace, color and texture. I wanted the designs to be fun and engaging to knit and also to become light, airy, and comfortable accessories one would love to wear. I hope you will enjoy this collection.

The 1st designs in this collection is Sunshine Daisy shawl
The pattern on Ravelry is here.

This shawl has top-down construction, half-circle shape and uses fun to knit flower stitch.  The shawl's size is very easy to customize. The shawl features striking contrasts in texture and colors. The sample was knitted in two colors, but the possibilities of colors are endless and more than 2 colors can be used.
For my sample I used Platinum by Baah!:
2 skeins of color 1 (colorway Fog)
1 skein of color 2 (colorway Lemonade)

The 2nd design in this collection is Muscari shawl
The pattern on Ravelry is here.

Muscari is a lacy and airy shawl, knitted sideways seamlessly in a fun to knit broomstick pattern. This shawl is a great beginner project and a nice relaxing project for the experienced knitters. It only takes one skein to knit this shawl, which makes for a fast project.
For my sample I used 1 skein of Aspen by Baah! in colorway Misty.

Last, but not least, is Byzantine Gold cowl
The  pattern on Ravelry is here.

Byzantine Gold is lacy and airy cowl, knitted in a simple rhombus motif. It is knitted flat and the edges are later joined by Kitchener stitch. This is fast and easy project. The cowl can be worn in the full width or folded in half lengthwise, which makes it reversible.
For my sample I used 2 skeins of Platinum by Baah! in colorway Byzantine Gold.

There are more pictures of these designs and information on Ravelry. I also will be posting more about each individual design in the coming days.
I am hosting a knit-a-long for the Sunshine Daisy Collection in Sunny with a Chance of Knitting group. I hope you will join us :-) The KAL will run until July 4th. The thread for KAL is here:

New Pattern: Lonely Skein.

I bought this lovely skein of Sonoma by Baah! last year because of the bright yellow color, but really did not know what to knit with it for a while. Hence the project name, “Lonely skein”. I do not wear hats or gloves, so cowl it is. In the winter time in SoCal you do have a chance to wear cowls and shawls and I take advantage of it every chance I get :)  I can also see myself wearing this cowl near the ocean during the summer evenings. It can get quit chilly and this light and airy cowl will be perfect for such occasions. I love how this cowl turned out.

Lonely Skein is an elegant cowl that features combination of simple lace and cables. The picot edge adds visual interest.  Light and airy it can be worn wrapped twice for a loose fit or 3 times for a cozier feel. The cowl is knitted flat and Kitchener stitch used to join two edges. This is a perfect project for that lonely skein in your stash.  Enjoy!
The pattern is available on Ravelry and my blog.
I am running a promotion on this pattern right now.
The pattern will be sold at $0.99 (75% off its regular price) until Sunday, May 4, 11pm Pacific time. After that date it will be sold at its regular price of $4.00.

Shades of Autumn eBook

Inspired by beautiful colors of the Fall season, Shades of Autumn eBook is a collection of two patterns. This eBook includes a pattern for a scarf and a cowl. Both patterns are also available separate.
CrimsonAutumn cowl is knitted in a simple leaf and cable motive. It is knitted flat and the edges are later joined by Kitchener stitch.
AutumnTango scarf is knitted in a simple leaf and cable motive. The asymmetric edges add visual interest.
Both patterns are easy and fast knits. Perfect for holiday season gifting.
Note that purchasing the e-Book gives you a discount over purchasing each pattern separately. No refunds can be given for buying the patterns separately and then, at a later date, purchasing the complete eBook.

I have wrote about Crimson Cowl pattern in the previous post and posted lots of pictures there.
Autumn tango scarf was a surprise addition to the eBook and I would like to share some more pictures of this design.
