Prism socks
My son needed some new socks. We are lucky here with the weather and do
not need to wear wool socks outside at all, but my kids love to sleep in
hand knitted socks in the winter time.
He is pretty happy with the socks, but picture taking is a whole different story ;-))
The pattern I used is by Jaya Srikrishnan and is called "Prism". It is a free pattern and can be found on Ravelry here. I followed the pattern very loosely. The instructions for the heel and the gusset were not very clear to me, so I just knitted those areas as I usually do.
My Project on Ravelry
I used Louet Fingering Gems yarn form my stash for this project. Socks are a great way to use up some stash yarn :-)

New design teaser.
Just a little teaser of my new shawl design ;-) First time designing a shawl with stripes..fun :-) I am working on my second shawl now and changing and improving the design a little. More on this project soon ;-)
For now I leave you with a photograph of a beautiful sunset over San Diego. I took this picture on Sunday evening from the Presidio Park.

Once Upon A Big Leaf.
Thank you so much to everyone who commented on my Golden Weave shawl :))
Девочки всем кто оставил мне добрые слова на шаль Golden Weave спасибо огромное от всей души :))
Today I want to show you another variation on my pattern "Once Upon A Leaf" I have a shawl and a wrap design of this pattern. I love that leaf motive so much that I wanted to make something else using it. This is how this scarf in bulky weight yarn came about. This is a very fast and enjoyable project. I used my wrap pattern as a base for the scarf and only knitted one repeat of the chart. My project on Ravelry is called "Once Upon a Big Leaf" and can be found here for more information on the yarn, needles and pattern changes.
