With Memorial Day being just last weekend, I would like to share with you some pictures I took right here in San Diego' Seaport Village of the sculpture by John Seward Johnson II called Unconditional Surrender .The sculpture is of the famous photograph called V-J Day in Times Square by Alfred Eisenstaedt that portrays an American sailor kissing a young nurse in a white dress on V-J Day in Times Square on August 14, 1945.
